BRIDAL FAQs
Question:
How far in advance should
I book my hair and make-up
appointment for my wedding
day?
Answer:
We recommend that you book
your appointment at least
three months ahead of time
to ensure availability;
however, wedding appointments
may be booked up to a year
in advance.
Question:
When should I book for my
make-up and hair trial run?
Answer:
Trial runs should be booked
four to six weeks in advance.
We ask that the bride bring
her headpiece and veil to
the appointment.
Question:
How should I prepare my
hair and skin for the trial
run?
Answer:
Please ensure that your
hair is clean and completely
dry. This will help
save time and enable hot
rollers to work effectively.
You should also apply facial
moisturizer prior to your
appointment so that your
make-up goes on smoother.
Question:
What is involved in a SilveryBlue
Bridal Trial Run?
Answer:
Our Bridal Trial Runs are
very extensive and can involve
the mother of the bride
and the entire wedding party,
if you so choose.
As the bride, you will receive
a complete make-up and hair
consultation and styling
(with headpiece and veil).
We are pleased to provide
bridal party members booked
for wedding day services
with a complimentary make-up
and hair consultation.
Question:
How long does a SilveryBlue
Trial Run last?
Answer:
The bride should allow herself
two to three hours to ensure
all her needs are met at
the Trial Run. Bridal
party members should allow
2 hours.
Question:
What if I have short hair
and want it longer for my
wedding. Can you help?
Answer:
We can make all your bridal
dreams come true!
We provide hair extensions
in a variety of lengths.
If interested, the bride
must book for her free consultation
with our hair extension
specialists prior to her
Trial Run.
Question:
Besides bringing in my headpiece
and veil to the Trial Run,
do I need anything else?
Answer:
It is always helpful when
brides and bridal attendants
show us photos of hair and
make-up styles they like.
Bridal magazines are a great
source for these types of
photos.
Question:
Can the stylists at the
SilveryBlue work with very
short hair?
Answer:
Absolutely! Our salon stylists
have extensive expertise
on all lengths of hair - from
very short to very long.
Question:
Must I have a headpiece
and veil for my wedding?
Answer:
Nothing is written in stone
- the choice is totally
yours. If a bride
chooses not to wear a headpiece
and/or veil, we have other
ways to make you look bridal.
We have helped brides with
very short hair, for example,
achieve a very elegant look
by applying crystal or pearl
pins to their hair. You
can be sure our stylists
will work with you to create
the perfect look for your
wedding regardless of your
individual preferences and
requirements.
Question:
Does the SilveryBlue boutique
offer headpieces, veils
or jewelry for my wedding
day?
Answer:
Yes - we sell a beautiful
variety of headpieces, veils
and jewelry - available
in our boutique to save
you time searching for the
perfect bridal accessories.
Question:
I don't live in your area.
Does your Salon offer in-home
make-up and hair services
for my wedding day?
Answer:
Definitely! We have one
of the largest teams of
make-up and hair stylists
who travel across the GTA,
conveniently helping brides
and bridal parties at home.
We also offer in-home Trial
Runs for your added convenience.
Please ask us for details.
Question:
Do I need to take any make-up
or hair items with me on
my wedding day?
Answer:
As a rule, we always advise
the bride to have three
important items at her disposal
throughout the wedding day,
to keep her looking fresh
all day:
- Lipstick
- Lipliner
- Pressed translucent powder
Question:

Answer:
